Rain Rain -

It is wet wet wet. The rain is absolutely pouring down today. Tabi said on facebook she has flood signs. Not surprised. Thank goodness my lawns got mowed on Sunday. Very good - I baked him a choc cake, and some choc chip biscuits, good system.

Saw Niki today for a coffee so that was good. She had been up since 2am with Hannah, so that wasnt so good.

Went to WINZ to drop off forms - and typically Weds only they dont open till 9.30am. So will now just post them.

Very proud of my boy who passed 2 out of 5 exams. That was awesome. Funny thing was that they were English and Science. Maths and Social Studies only missed out by about 3 percent on each. Music well - he only got 16%.

Jeremy got the highest in the class for Science. So that was pretty good going.

Palmerston North book fair this Friday - yahoo. Hope the rain stops by then otherwise might have to rethink my whole queuing idea. Was going to be in by 8.30am queuing but maybe not if this rain keeps up.

Had a bit of a downer day yesterday - not sure why.

Someone came in and had a go about Sara - not happy with the way she treats her children while they are at work with her. Mind you she definitely should not be having them in the shop all weekend for the whole day. So I rang Sue and told her - I decided it was one of the things she could deal with.

In the weekend one of my friends kids OD - she is okay now, well out of hospital etc, but her poor parents. They are not coping too good, I dont think children realise sometimes just how much parents do care. Well I know I do about mine, and I dont think I would cope too well at all if my kids did that. Bad enough my mum used to do it all the time when I was a kid, and when i think now what she has missed out on, she would have loved to have seen my kids grow up - and see Kathleen graduate, and Josephine how she has coped with going overseas, etc, and Jeremy - how well he can do things with his hands even though he has a hard time with school work, and jolene playing netball, and how affectionate she is.

Anyway, no real plans for this weekend - besides the Bookfair on Fri, netball and Carole's housework on Sat, and Sunday work.

I am looking forward to the bookfair, but wish I didn't have to work on Sunday.

Must go make my lunch and then do some more St Johns Lifelink phone calls. Rather interesting Phone calls. Get to ask people how they are finding the St Johns alarms. Not too bad a pay. $75 for 10 calls. Option is only for 10 calls though.

Well I mightnt write often but boy I have made up for it today.

Sick Sick Sick

Still very little voice for the fourth day. I so hate been sick. Really really hard with two kids as well.

Jeremy is trying to be helpful - hurts though if I talk to much, and feel so tired just doing a little bit. Oh well, i am starting to feel better, so hopefully by tomorrow I shall feel ok, and be able to talk properly again.

As I write this, the kids are playing outside in the skittery rain, and Max is asleep on the arm of the couch.

Had Kathleen's graduation this week. She looked so lovely, and very happy, I was extremely proud of her. Naturally then she took off for a few hard nights drinking as well, but it was lovely having her to stay for a little bit. Phyllis and Colin came for tea on Tues night as well - sadly Kathleen wasnt there that night as she was at Lindsay's graduation party. We had lunch at Bethany's after Kathleen's graduation. Me, Colin, Phyllis, Kathleen and Lindsay. Carole came in after we had finished eating with a present for Kathleen, and a card for Lindsay so that was rather nice.

Had the new neighbour over today for coffee this morning before work. SO that was cool. She seems quite nice. Has two teenage children - 15 and 16.

Jolene did her running homework at AFSC tonight - so that was good -too cold for her to do it afterwork.

Started with Jeremy admitting he lost his Jersey this morning. aaarrghh - his second brand new one since Feb.

Well Tuesday today, not too busy at work - but got two boxes of GGBP stuff in - so that was good. The Wild Ones by Monica Edwards, and Prefects at Viviens by Patricia Caldwell. SO will go and address those books soon.

Got my trade me books ready to post out.

Busy girl tonight plus played 4 phases of Phase 10 with Jeremy and Jolene.

Jeremy had some temper tantys tonight. Seems to be once he starts them - is quite hard to get back in control. We have an appointment with Colin from Youth One Stop on Thursday afternoon after work. So hopefully something will come out from there.

I finished reading Lord of the Rings - took awhile! Took a bit of reading I must admit. But makes the movies a bit easier to understand now I think. I would like to read the hobbit soon.

I read Prefects at Viviens today at work - it wasnt too bad. Was interesting to read that she published a book in 2008, so has still been writing. Also noted a Margaret Biggs book that I havent heard about before in the intro. Hope that gets published soon.

Also read an Ian Irvine book - which is a fantasy. So that wasnt too bad.

Jeremy washed the dishes tonight - without been asked. and brought in the washing, plus the rubbish bin. SO that was good. Makes life easier when they help out.

Jolene is going to start doing homework at AFSC now. She is meant to run 10 mins a day, but dark by the time we get home. so she will do it there.

So all in all not to bad a day.! Talked to Jos tonight and played scrabble for a bit.

Weds

ahh two blogs in two days - not so bad going at all.

Had a nice day - went and saw Niki this morning and had coffee with her, decided i should pop down on Fri morning as well.

Got to work and had the Mobile mortgage manager come in. All sounds good. If I stayed where I was - I would cut off 7 years, wow. that is a lot. - if we shift to Bulls - prob cost an extra $8000 through commissions etc, but the guy said it was definately worth while looking at, so that is cool, and all is sweet with me money wise.

Work wasnt too bad, which was great.

Jolene has created her own blog so that is rather sweet. Tonight she typed up about Chinchillas and I scanned the pic and put it in for her - so she thought that was rather cool.

Both Jolene and Jeremy love the olden day stuff on it - its fascinating for them.

Sadly the internet didnt work when trying to talk to Jos so that was really really sad, specially as she seemed a bit upset.

Have played a couple of games of scrabble tonight - gets frustrating though when people just leave.

Tues night

tues night at 10.19pm. Just about to go and have my bath before i go to bed.

Nice feeling - Jeremy and Jolene have done the dishes - homework done, washing folded and put away.

Talked to both Katty and jOs today so that was good. Poor old Jeremy had a major temper tanty tonight - and then hurt himself - so got no sympathy. Poor kid - and then before he went to bed - he apologised for having such a major tanty. He is growing up so fast at the mo.

We went to the beach on Sunday - the kids had an absolute ball, tied a rope to the back of the car with an old bike tyre, lots of fun - specially when I drove in the sea. It was great.

Jeremy even washed the car afterwards.

We went to Woolies before we went down and got a six pack of ice creams - great excitement. They decided jelly tips were their favs then choc bars - neither of them really liked the rocky road.

We had garlic steak, mashed potato and peas for tea tonight.

My reading is - wait for it - yep finally started reading Lord of the Rings. Enjoyable so far - the size of it puts ya off a bit - and ya have to cencentrate on it. Funny how my hols have come and gone and didnt do any reading LOL.

Managed to update all my GGBP books today - so that was a big job out the way.

Well - miss Kitty woke me up at 4am this morning so I think I shall head off to bath and bed now.

Not too bad a day at all.

Today is Saturday and the sun is shining.

Yay. sun is shining and it is about 5pm. My lawns are mown - a very nice neighbour came down and mowed them. So I have made him a banana cake. much rather make a banana cake than mow lawns.

Carole's housework is done. Just have to clean Jolene's room and do about 10 loads of washing, other than that a nice relaxing weekend I am planning. Jeremy's bike is put together - yay. the same nice neighbour did that. Must be his been nice day. I am not complaining at all.

Jolene has asked to watch Little House on the Prarie tonight, and Jeremy wants to watch Wrestlemania 2010. So I guess I will be having a busy tv night - plus talk to Josephine to say hi.

My new neighbour gave me some bread baking - including some hot cross buns, and some chips that just need heating up. Her father does the bread run - every six weeks and this was some of the left overs. So that was pretty cool.

Have chops for tea tonight, with mashed potato and mixed vegies I think. Am quite enjoying been on facebook. Quite good to catch up with a few people i havent talked to for a while.

Just had a strange phone call - 10.25pm. from some girl called Donna, who said she was just ringing from Fraser's bed, and he was laying next to her after they had just had sex.
She just wanted to catch up as he had text me yesterday saying he had loved me - which he hadnt done - I haven't heard from him since last Weds. She said she had been seeing him every day since his birthday. ahhh no wonder he doesnt even want to be my friend now. He should have just said straight up he was seeing someone (makes ya wonder though how deep was his love). Totally befused here. It was just so weird. Thought at this age you were past stupid games like that.
Other than that a rather nice day - the Tower burgers were pretty yum. Ended up spending an hour on the phone with Kathleen, which was nice, not long enough with Jos, but will catch up with her hopefully in the morning.

Easter Saturday

Had work today - which wasnt too bad really - quite busy and Jess and her partner Shaun called in - so that was really nice.
Jess is lovely- I can so totally relate to her.
Have Cody staying, he stayed last night and again tonight. Jeremy is just loving having him here. Which is great. They are playing playstation - they went halves and hired out a game, even walked down to the video store while jolene and I were at work, so that was pretty cool.
Got Jolene in the bath now - and then we are going to watch a DVD together in her room! as she wants to do that!. while the boys play PS3.
Just had hamburgers and hot chips for tea tonight - so that was nice and easy. Then Jeremy and Cody did the dishes.
So a nice lazy night for me now - as I have already folded the washing. Yay.

Palmy today.

Got to work this morning - and there sitting on the desk was a harback Gwendoline Courtney - Torley Grange - sadly no dw, but better condition than the one I have. My Easter present from Sue - so that is nice. - No wonder I like my job.
Been not too bad a morning - had a few sales, which is great.
Poor Jeremy fell off his bed this morning - hurt his arm quite badly - but luckily nothing broken. Sadly though it cut short my talk with Jos. Miss Jolene was full of beans - really happy it is the last day of school, is looking forward to the holidays - and Easter eggs.
Found a sophie Kinsella book for Kat - "Can You Keep a secret" which she said she had read but she would like her own copy. So got that for her.
Annoyed with myself for forgetting my lunch etc, the joys of my boy falling off his bed early this morning, and my brain just going into "aarggh is he badly hurt - and comforting him".
Good day otherwise. No word from Fraser since yesterday. So that is good too.
Hopefully he will just get on with his life - if he was a bit more patient, and not so self-centred we would still be together.
Jeremy wants Pie and Pasta for tea tonight. So I guess we could have that. Not very healthy so will throw in a salad as well.
Spent $90 yesterday on grocery shoping - $20 of that was Christmas Club and $15 was on stamps. So not too bad.
Next week will be hardly anything - as just Jolene and me at home - she has already said though she wants KFC - she really just wants to try the Tower Burger, so we can have that.
Better go and do some work now.

Nice talking to Tabi on facebook today.!! So pleased she is happy with her new boyfriend.

I am enjoying talking to Josephine every day on Skype - not quite the same as having her home though. Hope her sore throat goes.

Jeremy is been a funny little soul. Is trying so hard to watch tv with me before he goes to bed. So nice too. His parent teacher interview wasnt that great, but he does find school work so hard. Poor kid. He has heaps of brains - just not the writing sort. and has a wonderful caring heart.

Looking forward to Easter and the hols!. should be good. Have Friday off. Yay. Going to do Carole's housework and feed the cat - and then go over to Eke to see Margaret, Gary and the kids. SO that should be good - havent been over to Eke for a while.

Sunday, feed Carole's cat then go and see Jane, then hopefully to Ohakea for the air show that Jeremy wants to see. Busy Easter but the kid s and I shall enjoy it.

Jeremy is already talking about going to the beach in winter, and riding on the car, or using a rope and getting rides. hehe. nice to know he enjoys the simple things of life.

Slow day at work

Such a slow day at work today. The only time anyone came in to buy was when I heated up my lunch LOL. Oh well.

Finished off Jane's copy of The Truth - the third in the Lion boy series. Not too bad. Also managed to read "The Magic Carpet" by Phyllis Matthewman. just have to cover it now.

Cleaned the outside windows, and the inside, plus changed the window display. Just have to do the banking, which I shall do soon, plus do the display table.

Have had several texts from Fraser today - why I dont know.

Monday morning he rang and said He didnt want to be friends anymore. Fine. two hours later text received:

Sunday, 14 March.

Talked to Jos this morning. She seems happier so that is good. Will be good when I manage to get skype on the home comp, and we can talk. Instead of having to wait to get to work.

Changing my room around today. Well inbetween washing etc. Decided I might get more room if I put my bed by the window. Well hopefully less dust etc anyway.

The days are starting to get colder - and so are the nights. Might have to soon put on my blanket, instead of just the duvet.

Meant to be going to the beach today but shall see. WOuldnt mind a day to do nothing in. seems to be busy a lot lately.

Havent heard from Fraser yesterday and so far today, so that is good. Nice not to keep checking my phone etc, and been told off for not answering soon enough.

Someone wants Abbey books, so am busy printing them off! making them pay $15 each now which I thought was fair enough - cos ink is not cheap. - anyway coffee nearly finished so time to hang out the next load and go back to my room.

Oh my God

Just got off the phone to my boss - she is thinking about shifting Bulls bookshop down the road to just before the bridge. - and doing a cafe type as well. and I would get to do the baking. That would be so exciting.!! I have to look tonight to find the phone no when I get home.!! That would be something I would just so love to do.!!
Food and books. Two of my chief loves!! . One of my dreams might just come true.

The next day

aarggh the internet at home is down. have rung up xtra, and nope we might need the technician out. Have to try one more thing first. How annoying.
Jos is in Finland. How exciting. So awesome. I am so proud of her.
Jeremy and Jolene have not had one fight since she has left. AMAZING.
Sausages for tea last night with mashed pototao and salad.
Am wearing the skirt and top that Jane gave me today - the coloured skirt with the plain blue top.
Books arrived today was The Wicharts, and a Stephen King for a customer who will be in tomorrow.
He will be happy.
Had flowers arrive at work today. That was nice.
Text the grandparents, auntys etc to let them know Jos is in Finland.
Anyway better go and do my postings.!

Got to work and one of my books sold for $35. Yay. and another one for $8.

Opened Jeremy his bank acc today, so he can have an eft post card instead of taking money to school.

Well Jos has been gone for one day and a bit. I knew in my head she was going, cos she was ready to go. But in my heart it is a bit different..

Anyway I had a fantastic birthday - my two big girls - Katty and Jos gave me a camera PURPLE. Exactly the one I wanted. I was so so stoked. They are amazing.
Dear Jeremy gave me a bead for my Pandora bracelet. (and some peanut butter fudge). Wasnt he such a sweetie. Jolene gave me two DVDs. PS I Love You and 27 Dresses.
Also had a lovely bd cake made for me.
I have such awesome children. We spent all day together - Katty made choc-chip and banana pancakes for brekkie, and then we got a picnic lunch together and went down to Waitarere Beach, which was totally awesome. Spending it with all four of my children. Definately one of my best birthdays ever.
For tea that night - I managed to leave Jos (who was busy packing) and go out to tea with Fraser. He gave me a Pandora necklace and a bead. Which was nice but really over the top as he had already given me a stereo for my bd. Tea was nice though.
Went home around 8.30 as I wanted to spend the time with Jos. Ended up taking up her pants, and checking my clothes for woollen hats etc. Then made us a lime milkshake and we watched "PS I Love You". Rather a nice way to finish the night I though.
Monday - Jos and I went out for brekkie with Jane and Sue for Sue's and my bd at Bethany's. Then we went to Audrey's to say good bye.
Went home, and Jos and I had a moccha, then i went and picked up Jolene, who ate the cereal Cherios for her lunch!! Strange child. Then we picked up Jeremy, Drove down to Welly - called in quickly at Wendy's which was nice. Then went to Dad's. Gran loved her Lilly we gave her.
Tea was lovely - nice to see the family, and the cake was nice too.
Then back to the house to say goodbye to my daughter.
Really, really hard thing to do.
Thought about not taking her back to the house, and bundling her back home - but as a mum you cant be selfish and such an exciting time, and a great time to go overseas , before she starts Uni if she still wants to do that before she goes overseas, and no boyfriend in her life.
So good for her. She is so mature and I am so proud of her.
Drove back late that night - jeremy and Jolene had their cry and then fell asleep. Would have been a great drive till Fraser started texting wanting me to go and see him. How can I stop the car and answer - which would have woken up Jeremy and Jolene. Anyway got to Sanson about midnight and got this shitty text. - "I guess I been hurt again u were down this way n couldn't come n say hi 4 5 mins not even at wrk xoxoxox"
Oh my god.
Children come before anything. Couldnt call in in the arvo - Jos was with me. That night Jeremy and Jolene were asleep - what wake em up so for school the next day they would just sleep.
Very frustrating. Have told him his love for me is very possessive.! He only needed to wait for one more day. Anyway he is coming up tonight to mow my lawns and have sausages for tea.!! Exciting huh! So i shall see how it goes.

Reading: I finished The Host by Stephanie Meyer. Took a bit to get into it, but throughly enjoyed it when I did. Looking forward now to reading the Twilight series even though I am not really into "Vampire" books. - Am now reading Sara Donati's The Wilderness. Bought Into the Forest - tried to read it, but they went so much about other things that happened in the other books, I thought I would do a reread to refresh my mind about what had happened.

Jeremy is now 13. Gosh, he is growing up a lot at the moment. Yesterday, He was such a sweetie. He got $A50 from his dad, and must have thought a bit at school, and after school he asked for his money and went and bought me a Pandora charm for my birthday. And he couldnt wait to give it to me, so gave it to me as soon as he bought it. It is a really nice one - a top with a gold love heart. So thoughtful

Jos - has her VISA and is leaving on Tuesday, to go to FInland. What a lot of flying - 33 hours before she gets there. She will be exhausted.

Poor Carole is having a shit of a week. Her Dad has been diagnosised with cancer. Her Mum doesnt want to move in a home either. But she can hardly see. and now Probs with Emma. Poor Carole. Just wish there was something I could do to help.
Looking forward to this weekend. Katty is coming down. YAY. Love her coming home. Saturday I have work, and Jeremy has his birthday treat. DAYTONA. He is so looking forward to it.
Yesterday on the way to school - he thanked me for his Birthday day. That is so cool.
Slow day at work so far. Had one person in wanting Stephen King books - we didnt have any new ones so I took him onto a couple of internet sites, and have ordered him four new books - he went away really happy. I love been able to help people like that. So awesome.
Sat night going out for tea to Carole's (hopefully).. and then Sunday - my birthday. Another year older. Only thing is I still feel like I am in my 30s. Will be a nice day. We are planning on going down ot the beach for a picnic lunch, and hopefully Margaret , Gary and kids will join us. then I am going out for tea with Fraser.
Anyway have written heaps today. That will teach me for not keeping it up to date.

Read the Shannon Hale book - the fourth in the series yesterday. Very good. Quite unputtable down
Now up to Isable Carmody's Obernewtyn - enjoyable so far.

No sign of Jos's Visa yet.
Reminder to self not to spray "Dettol" spray on cell phone - didnt work there for a while - but okay now.

Work was busy this morning - but slow so far this arvo.
Taking my car in to insurance company mechanics tomorrow - so hopefully they will be able to sort it out ah OK.
Poor Jeremy was throwing up this morning - so no school today. Poor boy. (Mind you - no need to yell for his mum at 6.10am - I was still asleep).

Into February already - and back to work tomorrow.
Jolene went back to school today - and enjoyed it so that was good. Jeremy starts High School tomorrow - so I am going to drop him off before I go to work. He said he is looking forward to it.
At the moment Tabi is staying which is rather nice. - Jolene is sharing my bed while she is here.
Got invited to Emma's birthday - Josephine and me, so now just have to find a babysitter for the younger two.
Hope Jos's Visa turns up tomorrow.
Finished my series of books I was reading - sad. They were enjoyable once I got into them - the Fiona McIntosh series.
Didnt like the Pagan series, that I bought at Jane's booksale so they will be going to work to sell.

Random

Well - Jane's Booksale has now come and gone. Great day. I took $230, earnt $250 and only came home with $50. And two cheques - totalling $125. Luckily a lot of books are for work so should get all my money back. Bought some good books to read - and The Greek Boat Mystery from M. Pardoe. Sheila also brought me over 4 Chalet hard backs. So it was wonderful.
Went out for tea on Sun night with Jane, Annette and Sheila (from England). Was a lovely, fun night. - Had chicken Diane and pudding was Jellytip cheesecake. - Came home to my roof leaking. Aarggh. 8-9 bucket fulls of water tipped down the sink. Luckily Zane from down the road came and helped, and then Fraser came up the following morning and got on the roof and did lots of hammering. (then mowed my lawns).
A week of holidays ahead of me - yahoo. Have a big to do list, but really hope to clean up Jolene's room. Specially now that Tabi is coming to stay.

Well started my own blog - yay finally.

Well first off reading - am reading the Kate Forysth series - throughly enjoying it.

Just saw the movie tonight - "Up In The Air" - was good, funny - but didnt really like the ending (must admit I am a sucker for a happy ending).

Cat news - Max is walking by himself finally - he has been quite sore for a couple of days, so we have been waiting on him hand and foot - funniest sight last night was watching Josephine trying to feed him with a spoon.
